OPENING COCKTAILS – DECEMBER 27, 2011

As participants arrive in Manila feeling tired from the long journey, after registration and freshening up, they will be welcomed to a casual gathering to acquaint themselves with their competition. More importantly, it is an avenue to ease out those pre-tournament jitters.
Proposed Venue: Grand Ballroom, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

OPENING DINNER – DECEMBER 28, 2011

Participants will be formally welcomed in a formal Filipino-themed gathering. Dressed in their cultural garb, participants will witness the formal opening of the competition while experiencing a formal Filipino dinner.

COMEDY NIGHT – DECEMBER 29, 2011

A night filled with Jazz, Blues and Comedy – the perfect mix. Drink scotch while being entertained by debaters and the best comedians in the country.

WOMEN’S NIGHT – DECEMBER 30, 2011

This is a night to celebrate the existence of Women and how they made the world better. It’s a showcase of all things FEMALE where we present several faces and figures of women. During Women’s Night, the best female debaters in the world will spar on a pressing issue that affects them.

BREAK NIGHT PARTY – DECEMBER 31, 2011

This is New Year’s Eve. Participants wear white to symbolize a fresh start. Be mesmerized by the colors, lights and oozing sounds that will surely give you ecstasy as it climaxes in the countdown to 2012.

NIGHT CLUB PARTY / NEXT HOST’S NIGHT – JANUARY 1, 2012

One hot Night of intoxicating music and dirty dancing to Latino music. This could change depending on the request of the next host of WUDC as their Orgcom may want to present and promote their event.

FILIPINO NIGHT – JANUARY 2, 2012

Formal Filipino-Check; Informal, Festive Filipino- CHECK! As the first night is somewhat reserved, we present you a different side of the Filipino culture. Suppressed by centuries of Spanish rule, Filipinos have a wild and exotic side just waiting to burst out. This is a festive event for you to hear, feel, see and taste what it means to be Filipino!

CHAMPIONSHIP DINNER, BLACK-TIE BALL – JANUARY 3, 2012

It’s time to be classy and dressy. Performances will be classic and breath-taking. Dressing up for this occasion is a must- the accumulation of wit and hard work of all the teams is worth it.

CHAMPIONSHIP PARTY – JANUARY 3, 2012

It’s time to say goodbye! This event will ultimately be your last hurrah before parting ways with your newfound friends. Drink and party like there’s no tomorrow.
